Sex suspect captured in Dover deported to Mexico

TAMPA ? More that a month after his capture in Dover, a Mexican man wanted for sex acts against a minor in his native country has been deported.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents handed Cecilio Cerro-Canjay, 32, over to Mexican authorities in Mexico City on Wednesday morning.

A warrant for his arrest was issued in October 2010. Mexican prosecutors thought Cerro-Canjay was hiding in the United States and reached out to Customs officials for help finding him. Cerro-Canjay was tracked to Dover and arrested Oct. 2.

An immigration judge issued the order for his deportation on Oct. 15 and he was held in Miami until his flight back to Mexico.
